EXPERIENCE:  In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will:

-Have a minimum 7 years’ experience as a Sales Engineer for commercial applied/engineered HVAC products.
-Have established relationships within the HVAC community in Western Canada.
-Have experience in sales of commercial applied/engineered HVAC products; VRF technology is preferable.
-Be a standing member of ASHRAE and LEED – certification is an asset.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As the Sales Engineer - Commercial HVAC (Alberta, NWT, Saskatchewan) for the HVAC Product Sales Division; you are a Senior Sales Engineer with extensive experience in designing, specifying and selling within the commercial HVAC industry, and are responsible for the functions of sales, marketing and engineering services.  As a senior member of the national commercial sales team; you will require strong leadership skills with proven experience in driving commercial/applied sales working with an established team in a competitive HVAC market.  The position reports to the National Commercial Sales Manager.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Primary duties are to work with consulting engineers to promote and assist with design of commercial HVAC solutions to generate mechanical design specifications for our products.
-Establish and build long-term valued relationships with consulting engineers, building owners and developers to secure their commitments to company products.
-Prepare and provide effective seminars on products, their application, selection and design tools, aimed at conveying the benefits of our systems.
-Act as an engineering resource to support the channel, service existing accounts and generate future business prospects through frequent customer visits with a view to increasing the volume of specified system designs in the region using company products.
-Provide feedback on regional market trends and project pricing, and contribute to product development based on future market trends.
-Follow up on customer inquiries, make cold calls and investigate untouched markets to continuously develop sales opportunities and increase company commercial project pipeline.

COMPENSATION:

A very competitive remuneration package.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering – P.Eng. designation AB is preferred.
