A very prestigious role within the organization; be an active participant in decisions at the top, play an integral role weaving the elaborate tapestry from which even greater levels of success will be derived. Intermixed with the above are the more traditional responsibilities associated with the Executive Assistant role. It would not be out of the question for you to have booked the room, arranged for lunch and cleaned up following a meeting in which you expertly crafted the marquee presentation and were an active participant.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

An expert communicator with a penchant for technology and all communication related media, not the least of which would be presentation software such as Power Point.

Resourceful, creative, organized, discrete and professional, will be words, if asked, that colleagues would use to describe you.

Prior related experience in a similar role will obviously be a highly coveted asset. To be more specific, you could currently work in a communications or public relations type of role while possessing the organizational skills to incorporate the far reaching duties of an EA and wish to increase your stature/influence within an organization. In contrast, you could possess a track record of success in an EA role while possessing strong communication skills. The obvious ideal would be the individual who currently excels in this exact type of hybrid role.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the creation and implementation of communications programs, tools and initiatives aligned with established Canadian strategies and objectives. The results oriented communications professional will promote the priorities of the Canadian organization, including corporate projects, strategic initiatives, sales, employee engagement, IT, marketing, etc., while reflecting the voice of the organization. 

Produce communications that enables employees to be aligned with the evolving business, requiring active involvement in various internal initiatives and managing key aspects of many projects. 

In addition the incumbent will be responsible for providing executive support in a wide variety of situations involving administrative functions.

A Bachelor’s Degree or a proven combination of education and experience at a professional services organization.
