THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking a talented senior professional to join our group in the leadership role of Vice President of Finance. This position works closely with the multi-divisional leadership team and ensures a strong financial presence in the decision-making process. As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, you will be a key figure relied upon by the General Manager of each operating unit.  The VP of Finance champions a team of financial professionals to ensure the following key responsibilities are carried out:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

-Determine business strategy through collaboration with leadership to create and define key metrics to measure performance

-Act as financial business partner and liaison with leadership to provide short and long-term financial insight, analysis and recommendations on business initiatives. Also, provide insight into risks to delivering our financial commitments and opportunities to close any gaps

-Manage the forecasting process and use it as a means to drive business decisions that deliver on our financial commitments

-Manage the various lines of the Logistics PL to deliver against financial commitments

-Proactively partner with leadership in the identification of cost opportunities

-Serves as thought leader and financial counsel and partner with senior executives and respective leadership teams in both the regions and corporate functions

-Lead analyses and functional support to key strategic growth plan initiatives, including but not limited to Customer Profitability/Cost to Serve

-Serve as a lead communicator to the corporate leadership team in regards to the financial performance and trajectory of the function

-Provides strategic direction and personal leadership, management

-Leads national projects across the finance organization

-Leads, develops, and retains team members, ensures they are motivated and engaged

-Oversee financial and analytics management and strategic analysis/ planning

-Coordination and delivery of regular financial reports to the management team

-Divisional cash management and forecasting

-Budget preparation and analysis, including business forecasting and long-range strategic planning

-Coordinate activities with internal auditors

-Evaluation of potential business ventures/ opportunities

-Leading and developing Financial Business Analytics professionals

COMPENSATION:

Comprehensive and competitive compensation plan, commensurate with experience including base, bonus eligibility and benefits

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting, or other applicable curriculum coupled with appropriate certifications, such as a CPA, CMA, CGA, combined with an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-15 + years of finance and business experience, preferably some of which has been in a large organization or an industry where the finance function plays an active role.

-Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand the vision of the organization, and turn information into effective strategies to drive business performance

-Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

-Must possess an understanding of operating processes, and have a good knowledge of information technology capabilities

-Ability to build strategies and link strategy to financial plans

-Ability to influence across the organization at senior levels and to become a proactive, trusted advisor and thought leader on strategic issues in order to drive results

-Strong oral, written and formal presentation skills including ability to communicate complex financial statements

-Strong interpersonal skills: work well as part of a cross-functional team and able to interact at all levels

-At least 7 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work including understanding resource capability and successfully driving results through direct reports and other business partners

-Strong change leadership skills required
