THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is an opportunity for a permanent position for a Millwright to work 4 days per week (10 hours per day), Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Millwright must have the ability to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and electrical distribution.

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

-Ideally 3-5 years of recent work experience in the trade and/or food industry.
-Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as parts fabrication.
-Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
-Ensure that all work is performed according to pertinent GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA and all established regulations.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
-Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
-Install, align, dismantle and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
-Operate hoist machinery.
-Inspect and examine machinery equipment to detect, investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
-Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and programmable logic controls.
-Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
-Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery.
-Construct foundations for machinery.
-Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand, power tools and welding equipment.
-PLC experience.
-Attending all job training sessions as required.
-Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

-Completion of post-secondary School.
-Industrial Mechanical Millwrights (433A) License Holder.
-Must have completed a recognized electrician apprenticeship program and a combination of over five years recent work experience in the trade, college or industry courses in industrial electrical equipment/repair.
-Trade certification or ability to follow an apprenticeship is required.
-Basic understanding of PLC logic and programming.
