Our client is an industry leader in the Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) sector with a strong history in manufacturing excellence for pharmaceutical/biotech clients all over the globe.  With nearly 20 years of solid, comprehensive services to the pharmaceutical industry, our client prides itself in ground-breaking drug-development concept right through to commercialization and with facilities in Canada and the US.  Our client is going through a remarkable transformational stage to better serve virtual to large pharma companies across the globe while remaining highly committed to exceeding their client’s expectations for quality and service.  Due to substantial growth of the company, they are seeking to add a GTA-based Building Mechanic to be part of a valued, integral part of the new wave of exciting changes to the company.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

In this role, the successful incumbent will be reporting to the Manager, Engineering to monitor, service and repair plant and equipment on site in order to maximize plant availability and minimize production downtime.  You will serve to ensure a safe working environment and adopt safe practices at all time and to duly inform Manager/Supervisor of any concerns.  You will provide support for fabrication, construction and installation of plant and equipment and at times, assist in commissioning of new equipment.  If you are driven, have a flexible approach to work and sound ability to work under pressure, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

EXPERIENCE:  In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

Preference will be given to candidates with clear demonstration of:

-A minimum 5 years’ proven experience of facility maintenance within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
-Ability to read/understand mechanical drawings and sound computer literacy.
-Knowledge of machine mechanics/dynamics.
-Technical license a MUST.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
