In this role, you will support the Eastern Distribution Centre Manager while mentoring the Supervisors and employees. In addition to assisting with the day-to-day operations within the warehouse, you will ensure that company policies, procedures, and expectations are being met.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

-Maintain the highest level of inventory accuracy while providing oversight, accountability, and governance for all required annual inventory and cycle count records.
-Manage hiring activities for warehouse.
-Provide a safe, lean, and efficient work environment.
-Ensure that all scanners and computer systems within the warehouse are fully operational.
-Ensure that all company Health & Safety policies and procedures adhere to provincial and legislative guidelines.
-Ensure that all employees are well-trained and confident in performing their position expectations.
-Other administrative duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

-5-7 years’ of management experience in a unionized Distribution Centre.
-Proven leadership skills with a passion to motivate and inspire employees.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong understanding of MS Office Suites.
-Mechanically inclined.
-Flexible to work various shifts when required in a 24/7 environment.
-Experience working with RF Scanners and RF Voice Systems.
-Understanding of AS400 and Lean Sensai Certification is considered a ‘nice-to-have’.

COMPENSATION:

A complete and competitive compensation package.

EDUCATION:

Post-secondary education in a related discipline from a recognized College and/or University.
