THE COMPANY: 

Our client is a major regional utility servicing commercial, industrial and residential customers in southwestern Ontario.  Unlike the perception of many utility operations they are very much avant-garde in their operations and culture, and their expertise and tools are sought after by many similar companies. 

THE OPPORTUNITY: 

They are currently seeking the talents of an experienced IT Manager/ Director to shoulder the responsibilities of the Enterprise Applications department of their IT team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The successful applicant will:

-Manage the full application lifecycle for all enterprise applications across the company.
-Lead the development, standardization, deployment and management of enterprise information systems including cloud-based technologies (e.g. SaaS).
-Provide information technology solutions ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
-Work directly with vendors in managing contracts related to support and maintenance.
-Oversee SLA and communications including managing/developing escalation protocols.
-Provide technical direction for enterprise systems and SaaS solutions that include SAP. CIS/SucessFactors, business intelligence, Intergraph's OMS/GIS/MWFM and JDE.
-Participate in multi-disciplinary teams responsible for improving/re-engineering business processes and information systems.
-Evaluate and recommend corporate information systems technology solutions while remaining abreast of trends and emerging technology.
-Be responsible for the preparation and management of applications operating budgets.
-Lead IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing and implementation pertaining to all Enterprise applications.

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

-8 to 15 years’ experience in increasingly senior roles in a corporate IT environment.
-At least 5 years’ experience at the Manager or Director level.
-Several years’ experience in an SAP environment (absolutely mandatory).
-Experience managing an IT staff of 8 or more.
-Responsibility for managing all aspects related to Enterprise Applications.
-A University dDgree in a related discipline (absolutely mandatory).

COMPENSATION: 

$100,000 - $120,000 firm

EDUCATION: 

Degree in Computer Systems.
