THE OPPORTUNITY:

We placed the incumbent 8 years ago and he has decided to retire. He would describe this role as the perfect finish to his career with a team of people he can trust and respect.

As his replacement, you will be mid-career with a great toolbox of experience, preferably in a distributed business model. This may involve many remote sites or could be from a Franchise type environment. The growth and future for the organization is bright indeed, and they are seeking someone who has the ability to guide and encourage the organization utilizing their financial acumen and business savvy.

THE COMPANY:   

My client is a well established provider of services to homeowners. They are in the $100 MM sales range and are growing steadily. They are number one in their market and are respected suppliers of services.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The position has full financial oversight for processes and systems, and keeps the team focussed and balanced with a comprehensive financial plan. You will work with our local and remote management teams to ensure system accuracy and compliance. You will also be a coach and mentor to our leadership team from the finance point of view.

EXPERIENCE:  In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have to:

-Develop, implement and maintain internal controls, internal audit and reporting procedures.
-Plan, direct and coordinate the company's budgeting process, working across departments to gather and validate budget submissions.
-Prepare and communicate consolidated budget, perform forecasting including cash flow forecasting and reporting.
-Complete financial statement analysis and sensitivity analysis.
-Provide business performance analytics to identify financial trends, highlight risks and opportunities.
-Provide reporting to executive leadership team on key performance indicators and recommended corrective action.
-Responsible for the development of KPIs and other business metrics.
-Participate in and provide recommendations for major financial decisions regarding the organization.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

-CPA CA designation.
-10-15 years’ progressive experience with + 4 in a leadership capacity.
-Experience in change management and process improvement.
-Strategic budgeting and forecasting experience. 

COMPENSATION:

Very competitive Base ($150-170K Range), benefits and performance bonus and profit sharing plan.

EDUCATION:

Financial Designation CPA or CA minimum MBA would be a good addition.
