Our client, a large high profile retail Manufacturer of Apparel, is looking for a Replenishment Planner  to manage the demand and supply requirements for all raw materials.  

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is a 1 year contract opportunity with the potential of being hired on as a permanent employee after that duration.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Job Purpose:

The Replenishment Planner is responsible for managing the demand and supply requirements for all raw materials and will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of an accurate demand and supply forecast for raw materials, while driving the replenishment of purchase order (PO) plans with the companies suppliers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain an 18-month rolling raw material forecast utilizing manufacturing plans, sales forecasts, historical data, design and engineering parameters, current order book trend, and statistical models to support the company’s  business plan
  • Ensure Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) level raw material demand and supply is loaded successfully in MRP
  • Ownership of generating a weekly operating plan for raw material, highlighting deviations and adjustments, identifying the risks, challenging discrepancies and articulating the “health” of the Replenishment to the business
  • Ownership of procurement decisions for raw material supply and inventory planning for assigned categories. Generate the purchasing plans from requisitions using agreed sourcing rules and criteria, issue PO’s direct to suppliers and gather back supplier commitments
  • Responsible for setting inventory levels, buffers and replenishment strategies for the assigned product categories
  • Maintain appropriate material master data in MRP well as other planning parameters for assigned product categories
  • Establish and maintain acceptable inventory levels for raw materials across the network
  • Proactively report raw material availability issues and/or delays
  • Analyze and document the key drivers of forecast variation
  • Track and report KPIs and objectives

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • College Diploma or Bachelor degree in business or supply chain equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Planning environment
  • MRP experience desired, AX experience preferred
  • CSCMP and / or APICS certification preferred
  • Experience buying and forecasting in the apparel environment

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
  • Ability to extract data from multiple systems/sources and then make recommendations
  • High sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Challenges the status quo and looks for continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

COMPENSATION:

This 1 year contract offers a very competitive salary.

EDUCATION:

College Diploma or Bachelor Degree in business or supply chain equivalent.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

1 year contract with the potential of being hired on as a permanent employee after that duration.
