POSITION TITLE:

Operations Manager

COMPENSATION:

Base salary of $80,000-$85,000, plus a lucrative bonus, pension and benefits

LOCATION:

Kitchener, ON

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our client requires a strategic leader to oversee the operations of one of their retail sites.  As an integral part of the organizations leadership team, you will be responsible for working with various departments to strategize and lead operational programs to ensure effective and efficient implementation.  Overseeing a team of direct and indirect reports, the Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring staff is motivated and adhering to departmental goals to ensure effective operations. Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring expenditures remain within prescribed budgets, while justifying any variances that may occur.  The incumbent will also be responsible for assisting the General Manager in compiling the annual operating and capital budgets, and overseeing any capital builds and renovations.  Our client is looking for an individual that wants to grow in their career as they offer stability and room for advancement through internal promotions and opportunities for continuing education. They are looking for a dynamic individual with an outgoing, approachable personality and the ability to build strong client focused relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years experience in a leadership role
  • Retail or industrial experience overseeing capital planning, execution  and management oversight of all building systems and technical operations

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

  • At least 5 years experience in a leadership role where you have proven to mentor and coach staff through to success
  • Retail experience a definite asset
  • A strong technical knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance Programs, a capital projects
  • University Degree or College Diploma a must
  • RPA or FMA or equivalent certification an asset
  • Have strong communication skills, able to manage client relationships.
  • Have strong computer skills including MS Office. 
  • Have strong capital repairs experience
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills, able to think on your feet.
