POSITION SUMMARY:

The Commercial Field Technical Consultant is focused on customer and sales support. The CFTC provides unitary product training for customers and employees, as well as field product support. The position focuses on Commercial controls and the rooftop product line. The CFTC is responsible for technical training as a way to equip our key Commercial contractors and key Residential Dealers with the knowledge they need to accurately install, operate and trouble shoot Commercial equipment. The CFTC also provides technical support of all Commercial products for a designated coverage

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Commercial HVAC Field Technical Consultant will support both Commercial Contractors and Residential Dealers in the designated area

  • Hosts training classes in the off-season in order to allow for a focus on technical support during the high-season 
  • Responds to technical support inquiries over phone, email, and in-person 
  • Focuses on training for the Prodigy control system, controls mtegrallon. and basic mechanical installation and service
  • Publishes a 60 day calendar with set training classes and locations 
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting Commercial HVAC equipment
  • The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Gas Techn1cian 1 (a G.1 certificate}; Journey Person Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Systems Mechan1c (Ontario 313D or 313A) certificate of qualification is preferred In addition, a valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card is required.
  • Successful. 5+ year track record 1n training experience is essential
  • A strong customer  focus 1s requ1red to ensure customer satisfaction w1th the tra1ning provided
  • The preferred candidate  will have post-secondary  degree or diploma or equivalent  combination of education and experience
  • Expert in the industry and Commercial HVAC controls and mechanical products. with a preference for experience with Lennox product
  • Broad knowledge of principles and methods  for training, technical support, and problem resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and training skills, which include an understanding of different learning theories and how to apply those in a classroom settings
  • Broad knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, which includes assessing customer needs, meeting quality standard for services. and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Understands of how to balance local market considerations w1th the overall corporate priorities of the business
  • Expert ability in bu1ldmg relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating,  and managing time
  • Cross-functional leadership  skills, viewed as credible by bus1ness unit/functional leaders
  • Customer service oriented  and team focused

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

  • Experience working with HVAC Systems - chillers and heat pumps.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • HVAC Commercial product lines
  • Professional level of computer literacy is a must!

COMPENSATION:

Excellent compensation package including bonus (based on attainable targets), sales commissions, and benefits package including RRSP, Dental and Medical.
