POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Overseeing a high profile, high traffic commercial property in the GTA, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all technical services within a challenging portfolio.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring strong tenant relations through effective communication regarding service programs and technical services
  • Overseeing day to day operations ensuring tenant issues are addressed promptly
  • Managing all service contracts, including parking, security, cleaning, landscape, etc.
  • Implementing policies and procedures while ensuring staff adhere to company guidelines
  • Managing operations staff, building a cohesive team and ensuring all maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Tendering and awarding contracts
  • Reviews and approving capital projects and tenant construction projects
  • Managing the Preventative Maintenance systems
  • Assisting the Senior Property Manager in creating and managing capital and operating budgets from a technical perspective.
  • Conducting regular inspections of property and following up on any issues to ensure they have been addressed by the operations team
  • Work with senior management to compile long term operating and capital plans
  • Compiling comprehensive reports for senior managements
  • Coaching, mentoring, and training staff
  • BES I and II
  • 8 + Technical knowledge of Commercial Building Operations
  • 3 + years of Management/Supervisory experience in Building Operations
  • SMT,  FMA, RPA, SMA a strong asset
  • Experience; being hands on in managing operations, compiling budgets and overseeing preventative maintenance programs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills; MS office

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

  • BES I and II
  • 8 + Technical knowledge of Commercial Building Operations
  • 3 + years of Management/Supervisory experience in Building Operations
  • SMT,  FMA, RPA, SMA a strong asset
  • Experience; being hands on in managing operations, compiling budgets and overseeing preventative maintenance programs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills; MS office

 COMPENSATION:

  • Competitive and comprehensive compensation package.  Base salary offering $90-95 K + excellent additional perks.
  • BES I and II

EDUCATION:

  • BES I and II
  • SMT,  FMA, RPA, SMA a strong asset

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 8 + Technical knowledge of Commercial building operations
  • 3 + years of Management/Supervisory experience in building operations
