POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Manager oversees the entire HVAC, Hydronic and balancing valve products life cycle, from product specifications and design to costing, pricing, sourcing, manufacturing and delivery to customer, with the goal of consistently providing product excellence that lives up to the global client’s brand globally

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Product Development

  • Collaborate with the global sales teams to develop global differentiated offerings based on inputs from customers, sales and marketing
  • Lead the new HVAC product entire introduction process
  • Recommend company wide touchpoint plans and expenditures

Market Positioning

  • Perform competitive analysis of our HVAC, Hydronic and valve products compared to market
  • Work with communications and branding to develop communication plan and in-field collateral
  • Develop, Monitor and update information on sales portal

Manufacturing & Logistics

  • Source, test and approve materials for manufacturing of product
  • Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to support new product throughout manufacturing and shipping processes

Pricing & Margin

  • Monitor HVAC, Hydronic and balancing valve products sales and gross margin achievement
  • Establish and monitor pricing strategy and competitive analysis
  • Develop, recommend and monitor budgets, objectives and short and long term plans; present progress against budgets, objectives and plan in monthly business reviews and recommend and implement corrective action

In-Field Sales Support

  • Interact with field selling matrix (i.e. Reps, Agents, RMs, OEMs, National Accounts, etc.) in response to product inquiries

Product Training

  • Develops or oversees the development of, and the maintenance of, all relevant training mechanisms, product literature, price lists and software, in support of the pump marketing mission 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Engineering or related technical area, an MBA would be a definite asset
  • 6-10 years experience in HVAC product development / Hydronic and balancing valve products marketing applications
  • Single and Multi family and commercial building systems technical product knowledge
  • Knowledge of the residential and commercial construction marketplace.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential and commercial wholesaler and contractor channels.
  • Proven track record of developing and marketing industrial products with complex technical requirements
  • Ideally product knowledge of circulator and balancing valves

COMPENSATION:

Excellent compensation package including bonus (based on attainable targets), sales commissions, and benefits package including RRSP, Dental and Medical.
