THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

Will be a long-term, reliable Senior Export Operations Agent with strong customer service skills and someone who can assume an intricate role on their project team, managing the entire international shipment from quote to delivery.  Responsible for efficient, timely and cost-effective quoting, routing and movement of international freight.  This role is responsible for maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with vendors and regulatory agencies.  Attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential qualities.  Candidates must be supportive of different cultures and willing to work with people that may possess few English-speaking skills. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Constant analysis of procedures and systems to ensure maximum productivity and quality 
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies.
  • Accurate and complete entry of shipments, document preparation and notes, including shift transitions
  • Report problems to managers as needed and collaboratively determine how to respond to clients.
  • Ensure that all company security measures are upheld.
  • Promote and facilitate environmentally friendly office/warehouse practices.
  • Ensure a clean/organized work environment.
  • Technical assistance for account executives.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Maintaining vendor relationships and compliance, including rate negotiation.
  • Take appropriate action to prevent situations from getting out of control and make decisive actions as needed to mitigate problems. 
  • Prompt and courteous monitoring of personal and shared category e-mails in the exports mailbox
  • Filing of AES and reviewing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Proactive interaction in weekly team meetings.

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • B.S. or B.A from an accredited 4-year university or minimum 5 years industry experience.
  • Strong computer skills which includes ability to type and efficient use of Windows, OSX, MS Office, etc. 

COMPENSATION:

Competitive and comprehensive compensation plan, commensurate with base and bonus eligibility.
