THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is an opportunity for a professional looking to take their career to the next level on one of the world’s largest stages. Responsible for the business development and sales growth at a portfolio level for the Retail sector.  This role reports directly to the Director of Business Development. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Promote and sell all corporate services in accordance with Company standards.
  • Aggressively identify and initiate new business relationships with large corporations within your sector.
  • Identify, advance and sustain favourable contact with high-level decision makers and work to understand strategic business challenges while developing a business fit with the customer.
  • Develop proposals and sales plans that realize increased revenue from targeted prospects.
  • Sustain existing business by regular follow-up calls.
  • Maintain close liaison with operations and accounting departments.
  • Continually explore the market for new customers.
  • Cooperate with other offices and agents worldwide in promotion of corporate business.
  • Bids, RFQ’s, proposals and presentations.
  • Any other task, as required by direct Manager.
  • An exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Capable of analyzing and resolving complex cross-functional issues.
  • Strong knowledge of the Retail market 
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to listen and determine customer’s needs.
  • Effective presentation & negotiating skills 

EXPERIENCE:  In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

  • An exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Capable of analyzing and resolving complex cross-functional issues.
  • Strong knowledge of the Retail market 
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to listen and determine customer’s needs.
  • Effective presentation & negotiating skills 

COMPENSATION:

Our client is offering a competitive and comprehensive package including a base salary, up to 5% matched RRSP contributions, plus a strong benefit package

EDUCATION:

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline and 5-8 years of experience in related field, particularly international logistics sales

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
