COMPENSATION:

$80 K + excellent additional perks

Our client, a successful firm with a strong national presence, is looking for a Business Intelegence Developer with solid experience extracting and manipulating data to support the organizations continued growth and success.    They are an organization that has a solid reputation in the market place keeping their employees motivated and engaged, while also creating a very favorable market image, making leaders in the industry. 

THE OPPORTUNITY: 

The Business Performance Analyst/Developer will be responsible for managing and extracting reports on business financials and operation efficiencies to create business solutions based on extracted data, market trends, etc. to support senior executives in their strategic planning and decision-making.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

In this role the successful incumbent’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with business stakeholders and senior executives to create and maintain reports
  • Implementing and maintaining data warehouses using SQL, SSIS and SSAS
  • Creating ad hoc reports based on stakeholders request for operations and financial needs
  • Providing database administration support
  • Analyzing, creating design documents and performing impact analysis’
  • Developing extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes to acquire and load data from sources
  • Evaluating data systems and operations to make recommendations to various departments
  • Identifying data security issues and recommending changes
  • Conducting training programs with users
  • Performing quality checks and making recommendations on how to obtain optimum reporting solutions 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Computer Science or related program, a must
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Performance Analyst or Business Intelligence Developer
  • 5+ years of experience with data warehouses, data marts, dimensional modelling and OLAP technologies
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later
  • Experience building Reports, Scorecards and Dashboards
  • Knowledge of Python a strong asset
  • Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly
  • Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organization skills and problem solving skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Computer Science or related program, a must
