THE COMPANY:

Our client, a successful Property Management firm with a strong presence in the Montreal market, is looking for a Director of Operations to oversee a large portfolio of Residential Properties.  They are an organization that has a solid reputation for repositioning their properties in the market place to ensure they are creating wonderful communities for their tenants, an engaging work place for their staff and a positive image in the Region. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for a dynamic Director of Operations to oversee a large portfolio of residential properties throughout Quebec, while supporting other regions in other provinces when needed.  They are looking for an inspirational leader that can continue to motivate and engage an already successful and knowledgeable team of Senior Managers.   An approachable Director of Operations with a process improvement mindset and the ability to influence multiple personalities at various levels is key.

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have experience:

  • 8 + years overseeing Operations within a vast and large portfolio of multi-unit residential buildings. 
  • 5+ years managing a large team of direct and indirect reports
  • Overseeing all aspects of Operations in assigned regions. This includes Maintenance, Leasing, Property Administration, Financials, etc. to ensure overall profitability
  • Providing leadership, coaching and mentorship to ensure staff are in turn providing strong customer focused relations to continue to uphold and develop the organizations positive image making them landlord of choice
  • Providing timely detailed reports to Senior Executives outlining the financial positioning of portfolios, expenditures, short and long-term capital plans, etc. to assist with organizations overall strategic business plans
  • Working with staff and upper management to assist with repositioning underperforming assets to ensure properties financial goals and long-term plans are met
  • Working with other organizational business units regarding capital projects, talent acquisition, financial positioning, etc. of assigned region
  • Working with the team to create, manage and recommend capital and operating budgets
  • Ensuring property legislations and regulations are adhered to across assigned region
  • Ensuring corporate standards, policies and procedures are maintained across the portfolio 

EDUCATION:

  • Undergraduate degree is mandatory
  • CPM, RPA, etc. a strong asset

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

Permanent, Full Time

Yes throughout Quebec regularly and to other provinces occasionally
