Our client is one of the World’s most proactive and influential Freight Forwarding & Customs Brokerage organizations. A virtual “powerhouse” on the International scene, this organization is a force to be reckoned with. They offer the full gamut of freight forwarding services including air, ocean, customs, transborder, warehousing, etc., allowing them to provide a “complete logistical solution” to their clientele. Their size, scope and expertise, are such that no logistical need is beyond their capacity and thus no client requirements will go unmet. This devotion to customer satisfaction has allowed them to secure some of the World’s most respected organizations, global leaders in their own right, as trusted clients.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

You will be putting your poise, personality and powers of persuasion to the task of building business over the phone. The first order of business will be exploiting the vast, otherwise untapped market of current “C” level accounts. Working towards the “upsell” your version of “would you like fries with that?” will sound more like “do you require final mile delivery for your Ocean shipment?” or “can we assist you with your Air Freight needs as well as your Ocean cargo movement?”. With the goal of increasing “percentage of wallet” ingrained deeply in your consciousness you will use your pre-existing operational savvy to provide insightful solutions. 

Keeping a close watch on which clients have the potential to provide much more business or are poised for exponential growth themselves, you will bring high potential “C” accounts to the attention to the Sales Team for further coaxing and development. Conversely, should you decide a particular client is and is likely to remain very small you will then move towards setting them up on the automated quoting and booking system which will improve efficiencies for all parties. 

Rebuilding bridges, mending fences and repairing relationships will also be on the docket as you also be following up with former clients who have not ordered in the recent past. As a true driving force behind the development of new business you have an outgoing personality, are able to work in a team, are self motivated, and aggressively pursue targets.
