THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Our client is looking to hire an Account Manager to maintain and grow their existing clients by working closely with those companies within their portfolio with the most promise and potential. These hand picked organizations have significant logistical needs yet are only modestly engaged currently, perhaps they are single mode and can be convinced to use another mode or even two other modes, perhaps they are single lane and can be expanded to multiple lanes. With the goal of increasing “percentage of wallet” ingrained deeply in your consciousness you will use your pre-existing operational savvy to provide insightful solutions, illuminating the path to logistical superiority by increasing the services provided.
  • The client facing aspect to the role will be especially appealing for the International Trade professional who is interested in getting out from behind their desk on a regular basis to meet with clients face to face, truly building strong professional relationships.
  • The “farming” aspect of this role will be especially appealing to a sales person for whom the “road warrior” lifestyle has run its course. We are very excited to share more with interested parties!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will work closely with the company’s top clients to ensure client satisfaction and identify new opportunities where the company can be of service.  They will be involved in onboarding new clients and conducting periodic reviews with existing customers.  This role will also be a principal point of contact for resolving escalated issues.  Face-to-face customer meetings will be the norm rather than the exception so the ability to prepare and deliver presentations to small and large audiences is critical.  The ability to review customer history for profitability and contract renegotiation preparation is also key.

Post secondary is preferred
