Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom metal extrusions, fabrication and finishing services. They have been a leader in their field for over 50 years and are looking for the right individual to continue this success.  You will be supported by a history of excellence. THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join their team.  Based in the GTA this Rep. will cover all industry sectors where their product applies:  automotive, kitchen and bath, office furniture, windows and doors, showcase & displays, picture frames, specialized packaging, etc.  The company prides itself on its ability to bring value-add solutions to their clients rather than selling strictly on price.  You will support the outside sales team as well as handle new clients directly through requests for quotes.  A proactive and customer service approach is essential!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

You must be a strong communicator with a passion for customer service.  An aptitude for measurements, weights and numbers along with an inquisitive mind will allow you to bring value where their competitors aren’t as practiced.  As everything is custom manufactured, knowledge of the manufacturing process and quoting based on project is required.  Candidates who have only quoted from a catalogue of products do not have the experience we are after.

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

-Have 2-5 years’ solutions-based inside sales experience, representing a customized manufactured solution.
-Strong client development skills and a passion for building relationships. 
-Knowing your customer, caring about them and wanting to support them…not just answering their questions and giving a quote.
-High energy, a passion for finding solutions for your customers and top notch customer service skills.
-Solid understanding of the manufacturing process and production issues.
-Experience reading and/or working with blueprints (AutoCAD, Solid Works, the like.
-Very sound math skills.
-An understanding of computers, measurements, basic geometry and the ability to read blueprints an absolute asset.
-Permanent Resident status or Canadian Citizenship.

COMPENSATION:

Competitive, comprehensive compensation package.  Salary + bonus structure/commission + comprehensive benefits.

EDUCATION:

University Degree or post-secondary education preferred, or appropriate work experience.  Mechanical Engineering or CET an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-2-5 years’ solution-based sales experience.
-Must have sold a manufactured product that has a project management component to it.
-Solid understanding of production.
-Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.  This role is not eligible to be sponsored.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

Permanent, Full-Time

Minimal – some client meetings with the Outside Sales Team.
