POSITION TITLE:

REGULATORY AFFAIRS ASSOCIATE

COMPENSATION:

$50,000 – $55,000

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Our client is an up and coming company looking to grow their market within the chemical distribution space. They are looking for a driven and precise Regulatory Affairs Associate, who will work closely with the Regulatory Affairs & Quality Control Manager. This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate RA professional looking to have diverse experiences in their daily work life.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As this is a growing company, you will be wearing many hats. A day in the life of the role would consist of a variety of tasks, such as:

-Conducting regulatory reviews on new products to ensure compliance with various provincial and federal regulations, such as – CEPA1999, Hazardous Products Act, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, Pest Control Products Act and Safe Food for Canadians Act.
-Updating the WHIMIS 2015 SDS and creating labels, etc.
-Ensuring the company’s regulatory database is current and that client’s information is relevant.
-Complete customer and internal requests, surveys and forms.
-Maintain the company’s policies and procedures and conduct training as necessary – safety and compliance are always top priority.
-Research changes and provide detailed summaries from both internal and external use.
-Lead investigations and provide reports to ensure corrective measures are taken to safeguard from future issues.
-Assist in the application and maintenance of new and existing licenses within Canada for the company.
-Support the team with reporting under the Chemical Management Plan and other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-A Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry.
-2+ years’ in regulatory affairs, chemical distribution experience considered an asset.
-Strong written and verbal skills.
-A willingness to present to groups and educate others when changes occur.
-Fluent ability to multi-task in an environment that requires wearing many hats at one time.
-A proactive approach to ensuring the regulatory affairs stay ahead of any potential issues.
-Passion for the role, with a desire to research and grow.
-Proven ability to build lasting professional relationships with coworkers and stakeholders.
