SENIOR PRICING ANALYST

They offer a comprehensive range of creative transportation solutions; specializing in chemicals, petroleum and food grade products via bulk, flatbed and van.

LOCATION:

Saint John, NB.  Relocation assistance is available.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Pricing Analyst will drive the development of pricing programs to maximize profitability across all clients, leading the creation of profitability by developing wide-ranging strategic plans for pricing, pricing optimization, customer satisfaction and margin enhancement.         

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

-Create pricing analyses for senior management evaluation and pricing policy evolution.
-Drive continuous improvement in the rate management structure.
-Analyze revenue, margins and profitability and present relevant information to the management team.
-Create proposal templates and strategies.
-Perform ongoing bench marking research to remain competitive.
-Respond to prospective client requests for spot quotes.
-Work closely with Sales & Marketing and Operations to ensure alignment.

EXPERIENCE:

-Transportation experience considered an asset.
-Experience with large, organizations preferred - demonstrated ability to work with teams within and outside of direct control is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Ability to make a significant contribution to performance and profitability.
-Knowledge of financial modeling, pricing analytics and optimization; margin profitability.
-Demonstrated skills in pricing modelling and strategy.
-Strong strategic thinking and execution skills.
-Self-directed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
-Effective communication style at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills; a willingness to share information; and a collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality.
-Ability to balance multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
-Ability to work with all levels of management and build partnerships and direct teams.
-Familiarity with pricing tools and analytics is preferred.
-Proficient with MS Excel.
