MARKET AND PROCUREMENT MANAGER

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a top-tier chemical ingredients manufacturer within Canada. Specializing in functional food ingredient dry blends, our client is looking to build upon their growth by adding a passionate manager to their team.

COMPENSATION:

$80,000 – $100,000, plus fantastic benefits and pension matching.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

True to its title, this role is a blend of “marketing” and “procurement.” Part of your responsibilities would focus on the ongoing market development and sustained profitable growth of the blending business. The other part would have you oversee the procurement of general raw materials, scheduling of the blends, as well as the costing and pricing. All the while being a supporter of all teams and an internal champion for the blending business.   

QUALIFICATIONS:

-5 years’ experience in food ingredient product management.
-Proven experience analyzing markets and developing marketing plans.
-5 years’ experience as a sales professional.
-Prior experience with Salesforce an asset.
-Commercial experience within a manufacturing business.
-Post-secondary education in Food Science or Business-Related field.
-A willingness to travel overnight, up to 30% of the time.
-Proven advanced computer skills.
-Thrives in fast-paced environment.
-Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
-Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
-Proven ability to manage and influence others.
