THE COMPANY:

Our client is the North America wing of a global leader in the export and supply of agricultural products. The company is managing trading activities in many verticals including grains, pulses, oilseeds, nuts and spices, sugar, coffee, tea, fertilizer, and rice in over 40 countries around the world, with more than 280 warehouses and processing facilities around the world, the company moves many million tons of special grains.  Currently the company is experiencing a period of rapid business growth in North America and Europe.

COMPENSATION:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The successful candidate is responsible for the export document process required for customs clearance of cargo. The incumbent will be expected to ensure accurate, timely and compliant completion of  

Export information, documentation and all other administrative duties required for shipping and receiving.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Preparing any documentation related with the export of cargo, primarily Rail and Ocean.
  • Responsible to apply for phyto-sanitary certificate and insurance of cargo if required.
  • Responsible for applying, checking and sending BL’s to freight forwarders and shipping lines.
  • Controlling the documentation cycle and associated information systems from the commodity assignment.
  • Manipulating and analyzing data and ensure accuracy, quality and integrity.
  • Work closely with traders and logistics coordinators.
  • Maintaining the integrity of export documents and updating the documentation when revised.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in compliance the company Occupational Health and Safety Policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position would be suitable for you if you are a self-motivated individual that enjoys working autonomously in a fast paced environment, if you are a clear and concise communicator and take pride in your work by paying a high attention to detail, if you are a team player and you take ownership of your responsibilities and special projects to ensure that they are completed. 

  • Diploma in Logistics or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in logistics export documentation.
  • Proficient computer skills Excel, Word, Outlook, Access.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills while maintaining high quality customer-service
  • orientation.
  • Strong time- organizational skills with attention to detail including ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter who can work equally well in groups or on their own.
