POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Advisor, Sales must be self-driven and autonomous, proactively securing all required details and accurately profiling the customers’ needs and requirements in order to provide the best possible supply chain solution.   The Senior Advisor, Sales is accountable to his/her immediate supervisor for delivering the expected results and meeting the timelines for the responsibilities that are listed in this job description.   The Senior Advisor, Sales will be measured and evaluated throughout the year by timely meetings with their respective superior (Director of Sales), by key performance indicators and eventually through an annual performance evaluation.  Under the direct supervision of the Director of Sales, Distribution Centers, the Senior Advisor, Sales will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and support new customers and organically grow the existing customer base by selling the complete integrated solution aligned within the long term vision and strategy of the Organization.
  • Maintain business relations with current supply chain business partners and develop new business relationships and links in supply chain partnerships through networking.
  • Partner and work in conjunction with the VP’s of the business units to identify and develop growth with customers on new projects related to the Organization’s future vision and strategy.
  • Effectively collaborate, working on department and cross functional teams.
  • Be responsive to customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Ensure proper and professional representation of the company towards potential new customers

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Supply Chain Industry, ideally within a 3PL environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of warehousing and transportation, inventory and supply chain networks and industry.
  • Good organizational capacity driven to provide exceptional service both externally and internally.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a demanding and fast paced team environment and to communicate to senior management.
  • Proven ability to work independently to analyze complex issues and develop solutions.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to execute on all phases of a project.
  • Management skills including the ability to effectively consult, gain support for initiatives, negotiate, resolve conflict and influence change.
  • Very good analytical capacity with solid planning, organizing and prioritization skills.
  • Technical knowledge of WMS, TMS, and Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Possess keen business acumen, planning ability and understanding of contractual agreements.  
  • Be results oriented and have a demonstrated ability to close the sale.
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with a high degree of drive.
  • Team player, motivator and demonstrate leadership.
  • Bilingualism is a plus.
