BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is an opportunity for a professional looking to take their career to the next level. Responsible for field sales in South Western Ontario, selling air, ocean and road freight along with affiliated customs and warehousing services. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Promote and sell Company products and services in accordance with Company standards.
  • Aggressively identify and initiate new business relationships within your sales region.
  • Identify, advance and sustain favourable contact with decision makers and work to understand strategic business challenges while developing a business fit with the customer.
  • Develop proposals and sales plans that realize increased revenue from targeted prospects.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with customers in order to retain their business over the long term.
  • Maintain close liaison with operations and accounting departments.
  • Continually explore the market for new customers.
  • Cooperate with other offices and agents worldwide in promotion of mutual business.
  • Quotes, proposals and presentations.
  • Any other task, as required by direct Manager.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. 
  • Capable of analyzing and resolving complex cross-functional issues.
  • Strong knowledge of the Kitchener-Waterloo market. 
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong writing, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand and incorporate internal and external customer’s needs.
  • Knowledge of the CargoWise CRM would be an asset.
