Residential home comfort is a multi-billion dollar industry in North America, and our client is proud to be a part of this industry specializing in residential heating, cooling and duct sealing solutions.  Our client is an established solutions service provider looking to offer you the opportunity to be part of their great team. They are currently hiring for the position of full-time Business Development Representative - Residential HVAC & Light Commercial.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Business Development Representative, you are responsible for developing and increasing residential product sales through the BC Branch channels including, but not limited to, builder/developer sales, contractor sales, and Utility liaison. This role reports to the Residential Business Manager.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Develop relationships with builders, developers, realtors, utilities and other key stakeholders for the purpose of creating new and furthering existing relationships to increase residential and light commercial sales.
  • Work with the sales team and contractor network to achieve annual regional product sales objectives.
  • Develop builder sales personnel and realtors to be proficient in selling/offering products to potential homeowners through presentations at sales and industry meetings.
  • Support the Residential Business Manager in the development of tactical sales strategies and programs for new construction marketplace and advise on market conditions.
  • Support the Product Marketing Manager with creation and collection of market intelligence and marketing statistics.
  • Actively participate in Sales planning and reporting.
  • Participate in local professional groups, industry associations and functions.
  • Provide continuous feedback on market activity and customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum 5 years’ sales experience preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience calling on builders and residential contractors.
  • The ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer drawings.
  • The ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Products.
  • Excellent public-speaking skills.
