SENIOR QUALITY INSPECTOR

 

COMPENSATION:

A very competitive compensation package.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring and evaluating product quality to customer specifications and existing company documents, drawings and procedures.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Measure parts compared to drawings (or other technical documents or procedures) to ensure they meet requirements and specifications.
  • Use various windows within the ERP systems to determine part status, find location or parts, trace parts to purchase orders or receipts, print work orders, receive materials into the system, etc.
  • Ensure the measurement method and tool meet metrology standard requirements or initiate action to improve if needed.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and take initiate to correct and contain quality problems both internally and with suppliers.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment with significant hands-on inspection experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical bulletins.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Certified Quality Technician (CQT) professional quality designation would be a definite asset.
