TERRITORY SALES MANAGER

COMPENSATION:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a leading manufacturer of custom metal extrusions, fabrication and finishing services, seeks a Territory Sales Manager to service the Midwest and West US (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, California and Arizona).  This Manager will be based out of Head Office and travel approximately three days per month to the territory, covering all industry sectors where their product applies:  automotive, aerospace, kitchen and bath, office furniture, windows and doors, showcase & displays, picture frames, specialized packaging, lighting, etc.  They pride themselves on bringing value-add solutions rather than selling on price. You will be given a base of customers of which you will grow existing business and also have quotas around new business development (typically with warm leads).

You must be a strong communicator with a passion for customer service.  A high technical aptitude and inquisitive mind will allow you to bring value where their competitors aren’t as practiced.  This client has been a leader in their field for over 60 years and is looking for the right individual to continue this success.  You will be supported by a stellar Inside Sales, Customer Service, Design and Estimation teams.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Have 3-7 years of solutions based sales experience, representing a customized, manufactured solution.
  • Success in developing new business from scratch as well as growing house accounts.
  • High energy: a passion for finding solutions for your customers and top notch customer service skills.
  • Strong project management skill sets.
  • Engineering background, preferably Mechanical Technologist or Engineer.
  • Fabrication, extrusion, tooling and/or machining industry experience an asset. Comfortable calling on multiple industry sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

2-4 years’ solution-based sales experience.
