POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will operate out of the Toronto facility and reports directly to the Plant Director. The right-fit candidate will be responsible for fixing variety of industrial sewing machines like Juki, single needle, programmable, and overlock to name a few.

Your important and key responsibilities would include:

        Installing, maintaining, repairing, dismantling, overhauls reassembles, adjusting and testing various types of apparel machinery and equipment structures.

        Welds, brazes, scrapes, solders, cuts, etc. various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment.

        Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair damaged machine parts.

        Train or instruct employees on proper use and operation of machines.

        Set up new machines and maintain documentation of machine repairs and parts.

        Conduct routine maintenance checks on machines and other equipment.

        Inspect machines, shafts, and belts.

        Repair broken transmission belts.

        Install attachments on machines.

        Initiate orders for new machines or parts.

EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have:

        Excellent communication (verbal/written) and organizational skills.

        Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

        The ability to set targets, establish priorities and meet goals both individually and as a member of a team.

        Ability to work effectively under pressure and action oriented

        Ability to multi-task and work in a team based environment

        Must be able to work flex hours as required
