COMPENSATION:

Competitive and comprehensive compensation plan commensurate with experience & qualifications inclusive of base salary, bonus, car allowance, benefits, vacation, RRSP match, etc. etc.

Working out of the Eastern Regional Head Office, in Montreal, of this pre-eminent organization, you and your sizeable team are well positioned to take the province by storm! This branch is a significant size and will require an individual of significant substance and character to provide sufficient leadership.

You are a career Freight Forwarding professional, someone who can provide leadership, drive operational excellence, and deliver growth. The perfect candidate is highly skilled in both operations and client management and thus is capable of deriving operational excellence and driving sales growth.  In effect, we are looking for the rare candidate who can "do it all" and has "done it all" directly within the Freight Forwarding industry.

As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for all service lines, including ocean, air, ground, warehousing, customs, etc. Hence, you will have a deep well of expertise to draw upon within these disciplines, often referred to as an "expert" amongst your peer group.

You will be an agile thinker and nimble in your approach to volatility, uncertainty and variance. Ripe for change and rife with areas for improvement, you will have experience with change management and possess a keen eye for process design and optimization! Implementing industry leading best practices, spearheading transformative change, your continuous improvement efforts will propel this branch to greater and grander heights of success.

You bring an exceptional operational understanding and a desire to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved. Business development acumen and a focus on top line revenue growth is also important as a sales driven culture is put in motion from the top down.

Financial skills are another valued asset as you will be responsible for a large P&L, and as always, when the numbers talk you must be able to understand what they are telling you. 

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you will be a talented and charismatic leader who has a knack for guiding, directing and empowering highly effective teams, as well as a interacting and engaging with external stakeholders.

An ability to conduct business fluently in either official languages (French & English) comes naturally to you and you are as equally engaging in both.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications specific to the field of freight forwarding, customs & logistics, such as CIFFA, CITT, P.Log., CCS are an asset.
