THE OPPORTUNITY:

Provide the guiding hand that will lead your sizeable flock to the realization of the corporate vision and the attainment of company-wide goals.

Lead, inspire, mentor, motivate, train develop and otherwise manage an exceptionally large team of dedicated customs professionals. Shepherding a flock in excess of 75+ folks, your leadership acumen must be strong; ranking high amongst your greatest competencies!

Taking the mantle of leadership for this dynamic, efficient and effective team you are well positioned to make an immediate and influential impact on the organization.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

As the successful candidate, you will be not only be an expert in Customs Brokerage but also an expert in managing a large team of customs professionals. You will have an impressive track record of success growing, developing, training, guiding and mentoring a thriving team within a customs brokerage environment! A huge asset would be prior experience managing through Managers and managing people at a distance.

In addition, you will be adept at client facing activities that involve ongoing account management and building trust/confidence in existing and prospective clients. Financial skills are another valued asset as you will be involved in budgets and P&L discussions, and as always, when the numbers talk you must be able to understand what they are telling you. 


To put it succinctly, the successful candidate will be:

  • An expert in Customs Brokerage operations,
  • An expert in managing a large team of customs professionals: a natural leader, mentor & coach!
  • A savvy executive with sound financial acumen,
  • A customer focused leader adept in client facing activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CCS and/or Customs Professional License an asset
  • CCLP, CTCS, CIFFA, CITT certification would be considered an asset
