POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Motorcycle Technician you will be entrusted to perform a diverse range of automotive service and mechanical repair activities. Your mission is to perform the utmost quality repairs so as to create trust and confidence in the company's services. Our client has found this to be the key to creating lasting, long-term relationships with their customers, generating repeat and referral business.Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Diagnosing mechanical problems and perform work per repair orders, in adherence with company, factory and warranty policies and procedures.
  • Sharing potential concerns or repair problems with fellow technicians and/or management.
  • Communicating with the parts department for required parts.
  • Examining and assessing vehicles for any additional safety or service work that is necessary or recommended, and informing management of such recommendations.
  • Documenting performed or recommended work on repair orders.
  • Road testing vehicles once repairs are completed for quality assurance/control and safety, and to confirm successful repairs performed.
  • Shuttle customer vehicles in and out of service area.
  • Ensuring compliance with company and department policies, procedures and standards.

EXPERIENCE:

Expertise and advanced knowledge of motorcycle operation, inner workings, maintenance and repair.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Motorcycle mechanic trade certification (310G).
  • Valid Ontario Motorcycle License (M2 or higher)
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Maintenance of forklift certification.
  • Strong teamwork, effective communication (both verbal and written).
  • Mechanically inclined, quality and detail-oriented, and with strong multi-tasking abilities.
