POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Regional Manager and a Senior Project Manager, we are looking for an assertive, bright individual that has strong social skills and an ability to liaise and engage with clients on a number of environmental and occupational hygiene issues within the ICI and multi-residential sectors.  We are looking for individuals that are well versed in the abatement of hazardous materials (asbestos, mold, lead, mercury, etc.) while also conducting air quality assessments, noise pollution, etc. to provide comprehensive consultations.  As the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaise with clients conducting site walkthroughs to compile hazardous material assessments
  • Generating comprehensive proposals and responding to RFP's and RFI's in a timely manner
  • Development of project budgets, scope and timelines for remediation and abatement
  • Management of project financials
  • Compile comprehensive remediation plans and programs along with contract specifications
  • Oversee all asbestos management programs
  • Attend client meetings and provide regular reports
  • Business development with new and existing clients

Please note, in order to qualify for this position you must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license. You must also have the ability to be flexibility with your schedule as there are occasional emergency calls after hours or on weekends. The company offers full project autonomy, creating an entrepreneurial atmosphere.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6+ years of experience in hazardous material, environmental assessments or indoor environmental quality (IEQ)
  • Experience as a Senior Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager ideal

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CET, C.Tech, CIH, ROH, CRSP or EP a strong asset
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupations Health and Safety, Building Science, Environmental studies or related field a must
  • PMP a strong asset
