L'ENTREPRISE:

Notre cliente se développe sur le marché de la construction dans l'Est du Canada. Ils sont bien connus pour leurs installations mécaniques et ont des opérations de construction au Québec, au Nouveau-Brunswick, en Nouvelle-Écosse et La Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador. Il y a beaucoup de travail à faire et ils ont besoin d'un professionnel bilingue de la santé et de la sécurité pour compléter leur équipe et se rendre sur les différents sites de travail de leur région de l'Est.

Notre cliente est engagée envers la sécurité et cherche à embaucher des professionnels de la santé et de la sécurité pour superviser la région et s'assurer que tous les chantiers de construction respectent les normes les plus élevées de santé et de sécurité. Si vous êtes un professionnel compétent et expérimenté dans la prestation de formations en santé et sécurité, la réalisation d'audits et d'inspections en milieu de travail, les enquêtes sur les incidents et la mise en ouvre et la gestion de programmes de santé et de sécurité mandatés par la province, alors vous êtes la personne pour ce rôle!

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diplôme ou certificat en santé et sécurité au travail d'un collège ou d'une université accrédité
  • Achèvement du programme d'études propre à l'industrie en santé et sécurité au travail (NCSO requis, CRSP préféré)
  • 5 ans et plus d'expérience à temps plein en tant que professionnel de la santé et de la sécurité au travail / CSST / praticien reconnu dans la construction, la fabrication et / ou l'industrie
  • COR Peer Auditor ou équivalent
  • Actuel avec les certifications ACSA, y compris PHSM, LSE, LEG et ATP préféré
  • Compréhension approfondie des lois et règlements en matière de santé et de sécurité pour les juridictions applicables (Qc. NF, NB & NS)
  • Capacité avérée de superviser les enquêtes sur les accidents de travail et la gestion des réclamations
  • Excellentes compétences en leadership avec la capacité d'encadrer, d'élaborer et de faciliter les programmes et politiques de santé et de sécurité
  • Expérience directe de la mise en ouvre de procédures / programmes:
  • Pratiques de verrouillage-étiquetage
  • Évaluation et entrée en espace clos
  • Travail électrique sûr / Flash d'arc
  • Bilingue (anglais et français)
  • Maîtrise de Word, Excel, Power Point. Une expérience SAP serait un atout.
  • Connaissance des programmes de préqualification de sécurité tiers (ISNetworld, Browz et Cognibox)
  • Permis de conduire valide
  • Profiter de voyages fréquents de nuit dans toute la région de l'Est (Qc. NF, NB & NS)

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a growing and well-respected player in the construction market in Eastern Canada. They are well known for mechanical installations and have construction operations in Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. With no shortage of work, they are looking to grow their team and add a much needed Bilingual Health and Safety Coordinator to travel across their Eastern Region.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our client is committed to safety and is looking to hire dedicated Health and Safety professional to oversee the region and ensure that all construction sites are adhering to the highest standards of health and safety. If you are a professional who is knowledgeable and experienced in delivering Health and Safety Training, Conducting workplace audits and inspections, investigating incidents and implementing and managing provincially mandated health and safety programs, then you are the person for this role!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited college or university
  • Completion of industry-specific program of study in Occupational Health and Safety (NCSO required, CRSP preferred)
  • 5+ years' full time experience as an OH&S/CSST/provincially recognized practitioner in the construction, manufacturing and/or industrial industry
  • COR Peer Auditor or equivalent
  • Current with ACSA Certifications including PHSM, LSE, LEG & ATP preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety Acts and Regulations for the applicable jurisdictions (Qc. NF, NB &NS)
  • Proven ability to oversee workplace injury incident investigation and claims management
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and facilitate health and safety programs and policies
  • Direct experience implementing procedures/programs:
  • Lockout-Tagout practices
  • Confined Space Assessment and Entry
  • Electrical Safe Work/Arc Flash
  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point. SAP experience would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with third party safety prequalification programs (ISNetworld, Browz, and Cognibox)
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Love of the road and frequent overnight travel across the Eastern Region (Qc. NF, NB &NS)
