POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As Senior Logistics Manager, you will play a vital role in the implementation of business strategies and initiatives, the safety and efficiency of supply chain and logistics ensuring the highest level of end customer satisfaction.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overall management of the warehouse and incoming/outgoing logistics
  • Developing and initiating strategies, policies, metrics, guidelines and investments for logistics, customer services, transportation, warehouse, and production planning.
  • Strategic Implementation of Logistics Plan; inclusive of long-term 3PL strategy.
  • Building and maintaining an effective communications network with all logistics, supply chain, entity, and geographic management to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Developing and implementing departmental KPI's utilizing world-class standards.
  • Inventory Management - Ensure cycle counts are properly executed and act as support to the finance team.
  • Management of 3PL providers, customer delivery times and receiving times.
  • Leading the implementation of 5S methodology in the department
  • Determining logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from location of operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel.
  • Responsible for all supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training

EXPERIENCE:

As the successful candidate, you will have superior communication skills, including excellent written and verbal skills with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Advanced Excel skills.

  • 5-10 years of experience in logistics management
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) or CITT-Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP)
  • Ability to independently handle multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma
  • Self-driven, team-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and accuracy. Familiar with aspects of food safety.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Attention to detail
