<BRANCH MANAGER. ATLANTIC CANADA>

THE COMPANY:

Our client is one of the World's most proactive and influential Supply Chain & Logistics organizations. A virtual "powerhouse" on the International scene, this organization is a force to reckon with. They offer the full gamut of freight forwarding services (warehousing, distribution, air, ocean, ground, customs, rail, etc.) allowing them to provide a "complete logistical solution" to their clientele. Their size, scope and expertise are such that no logistical need will go unmet. This devotion to customer satisfaction has allowed them to secure some of the World's most respected organizations, global leaders in their own right, as trusted clients.

Already an industry leader, they are planning for tomorrow in order to solidify and bolster their competitive advantage in the logistics industry while focusing today on being a responsible, sustainable & ethical provider of services.

Well known for their strict adherence to the highest standards of quality they are both a service provider of choice and an employer of choice. Over their long history they have continually extended their high standards to their recruitment efforts and hire only the best and brightest within the industry. At this time they wish to add a professional Branch Manager to lead, guide and direct their efforts in Atlantic Canada, working out of their Halifax facility.

COMPENSATION:

Competitive compensation program commensurate with experience and ability including a strong base, lucrative bonus, extensive benefits, paid vacation, RRSP match, etc.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Wishing to not only maintain but also increase their dominance in the Atlantic Canada marketplace, our client is looking to add a talented Branch Manager to their visionary executive team. Working out of their Atlantic Canada Head Office, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, of this pre-eminent organization, you and your team are well positioned to take the province by storm!

Far from satisfied with the status quo and with no intention of resting on their considerable laurels, the company-wide focus to close out 2021 is growth, growth and more growth! With full support from the highest levels of the organization, everything is in place for you to attain monumental levels of success.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

You are a genuine superstar within the logistics industry. You are ready to make a difference and yearning to make an impact. The Halifax branch of this world class Forwarder has a solid history of exceeding targets and yielding remarkable profit figures

You are a career Freight Forwarding professional, someone who can provide leadership, drive operational excellence, and deliver growth. The perfect candidate is highly skilled in both operations and client management and thus is capable of deriving operational excellence and driving sales growth. In effect, we are looking for the rare candidate who can "do it all" and has "done it all" directly within the Freight Forwarding industry.

The organization as a whole provides expert level solutions along the entire breadth of services offered: air, ocean, transborder, customs brokerage, warehousing, contract logistics, ground, special projects, customs consulting, international, domestic, import, export and much more. No opportunity is too large or too complex to be successfully met by this world-class organization.

Leading the location in Halifax, your focus will be on Air Freight in general and perishables in particular and thus your background will encompass these specialty fields. Perishable logistics is truly an art as much as a science and we are looking for a local "artist" to "paint" the freight forwarding equivalent of the Sistine Chapel... asking a bit much, perhaps.. OK.how about the freight forwarding equivalent of a really life like mural!

You will be an agile thinker and nimble in your approach to volatility, uncertainty and variance. Ripe for change and rife with areas for improvement, you will have experience with change management and possess a keen eye for process design and optimization! Implementing industry leading best practices, spearheading transformative change, your continuous improvement efforts will propel this branch to greater and grander heights of success.

You bring an exceptional operational understanding and a desire to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved. Business development acumen and a focus on top line revenue growth is also important as a sales driven culture is put in motion from the top down.

Financial skills are another valued asset as you will be responsible for the P&L, and as always, when the numbers talk you must be able to understand what they are telling you.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you will be a talented and charismatic leader who has a knack for guiding, directing and empowering highly effective teams, as well as a interacting and engaging with external stakeholders.

This is an EXCELLENT opportunity with an EXCELLENT company. I look forward to discussing this exciting opportunity with all qualified applicants! If you are currently living outside of Atlantic Canada and were looking for just the right opportunity to return home then this might just be it. Should this be the case, relocation assistance is available!
